Meet Gemma Hunter BCAc
22 Years Working Within and Supporting The Deaf Community
Profoundly Deaf and a native British Sign Language user, Gemma has spent more than two decades creating opporunites, challenging barriers and supporting Deaf and Deaf/Blind people.
Her experience spans community work, education, health and wellbeing, training and personal development, experience that ultimatley helped shaped the organisation Deafersify is today.
As Chief Executive Gemma brings something that can't be learned from a textbook: lived experience.
That understanding influences everything we do.
